« Professor at Bordeaux University, I’m the Deputy Director-Education of the Center of Excellence LAPHIA (Lasers&Photonics in Aquitaine). I’m searcher in the « Optical Material » group ICMCB-CNRS where I was recruited in 1991, and I directed over the period 2001-2010. I was a pioneer with the collaboration of physicits in the optimization and modeling of third-order nonlinearities in oxide glasse. My main research interests are now third and second order nonlinear susceptibilities, Laser-induced defects and luminescence properties of flaws, Multi-scale crystallization, all in oxide glasses. During the last ten years I have been advisor for 8 PhD. »
