« I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Physics/Electronics from the Federal University of Technology Minna, Nigeria in 2014. Afterwards, I obtained a master’s degree in Photonics from the Abbe School of Photonics, Friedrich-Schiller Universität Jena, in 2018. I am currently a PhD student at the Ultrafast Optics group of the Institute of Applied Physics, Jena under the supervision of Prof. Stefan Nolte. My research work focuses on the development novel femtosecond laser inscription processes for fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) with tailored spectral and dispersion properties. I am also working on the implementation of novel femtosecond laser inscription processes for fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs) with tailored spectral and dispersion properties in Mid-infrared glass fibers in partnership with Université Laval and under the supervision of Prof. Martin Bernier. »
